I'm Jackson, an artist and the maker of refern. My images were spread across many folders and apps. I spent too much time trying to find the right one. I knew there had to be a better way.
So I built refern. It keeps your library and canvas in one place. You can find an image and move it right to a moodboard. You can also study with a timer and save images from the web.
I build and run refern through my small company, Refern Labs Inc. You can try every feature free for 30 days. If it helps you, you can buy it once. There is no account and no plan to pay each month.
What I care about.
Your files stay yours
Your art and files belong to you. refern uses the files on your computer. Normal workspace setup reads files where they are. Explicit imports or copy actions can add files, and your original media stays accessible in ordinary folders.

A tool, not a feed
I made refern to help you work, not to keep you scrolling. There is no feed or score. Core library work stays private on your device and works without an internet connection; selected actions can connect when needed.
